Fly Event: Tribeca and Universal Music Group for Brands Present: MIXTAPE
I love all things Hip-Hop and this event seems dope as hell. It’s the premiere screening of the documentary, Mixtape, and includes a live performance by Jadakiss. Mixtape tells the story of mixtape culture and its role in spreading Hip-Hop around the world. This film is about the outlaw DJs who, for the love of the music, turned a criminal enterprise into a creative and commercial backbone of the music business.
The film features music icons DJ TONY TOUCH, A$AP Rocky, Brucie B, Bun B, CeeLo, DJ Clue Music, DJ Drama, DJ Whoo Kid, Doo Wop, Fat Joe, Funkmaster Flex, Jeezy, The Real Kid Capri, KRS-One, Lil Wayne, Angie Martinez, Mister Cee, 2 Chainz, Bobbito Garcia a.k.a. Kool Bob Love, Mercury Studios, DefJam, and more.
The event takes place on Thursday, April 7, at The United Palace in Washington Heights.
This premiere kicks off a partnership between Universal Music Group and Tribeca, which will include an exclusive series of music-driven and film-based events, taking place throughout 2022.
