Today The Apollo is celebrating 30 Years of the cult favorite films House Party and House Party 2 with a virtual viewing party.
I cannot believe it’s been 30 years since these iconic films came out. Between House Party, A Different World and Class Act- when I was young Fly Carla, I loved seeing cool Black teenagers and young adults on the screen.
Expect an evening featuring performances, conversations and highlights from the musical and comedy cult classics.
This ultimate 90s throwback is a celebration of a pivotal moment in Black cinema and hip-hop history.
Created and produced by Cali Green, the Screen/Play series celebrates “throwback” films and their soundtracks.
