Louisiana-born Tessica Brown has had a year and we’re only two months into 2021. Black folks -we gotta stop following “old wives tales” and “making due” in 2021. We have to be mindful of what we put on and into our bodies. Don’t clean your WAP with bleach, stop using hair bond glue for your eyelashes and don’t use masking tape for your lace-front. You are not a hardware store nor Staples.

Black women are getting tumors, migraines, hair loss, vision impairment, and auto-immune complications from “beauty” products. Tessica should’ve put on a hat instead of using some Gorilla Glue.  Le sigh. I hope sis has seen a dermatologist, a primary care doctor for blood work and a therapist for the trauma she has endured.

Gorilla Glue Girl just launched a three-item merch capsule referencing her glue-related fame. The collection is titled “Bonded for Life'' and includes a photo screen t-shirt and hoodie  from the February 3, 2021 video in which she first let the Internet in on her dilemma.

There’s also a shirt featuring an illustration of  Tessica alongside a spray can reading “Stiff where ma hair?” a phrase she said in her Tik Tok video, an ironic reference to a meme started by a little girl bragging about her soft and supple hair.

Priced from $28 for the t-shirt up to $50 for the hoodie, Tessica’s merch capsule is now available on tessicamerch.com.
