LA bred- celeb jewelry and accessory designer, Melody Ehsani has teamed up with NCLA Nails for a funky nail wrap collaboration. Playing off of her artistic designs, the lookbook features both the wraps, available in four color themes, along with Ehsani’s accessory designs. This collaboration will be available for purchase on ShopNCLA on March 1st.

I just read the New York Magazine article about exes and rivals Christopher Burch and Tory Burch and the article states how although Tory Burch might be the more popular of the former couple, Christopher could be a fashion icon within his own right. He recently opened a store in Soho called C.Wonder which might mimic Tory’s peppy style.

Diddy’s boo Cassie hit 106 & Park yesterday to debut her new video for ‘King of Hearts.’ She paired an animal print top, studded Christian Louboutins and Marques Almeida Cut Out Jeans. Marques Almeida debuted the Extreme Cut out denim last year during their Spring 2012 show at London’s Fashion Week.

This book is really great because it emphasizes how crucial a role African-American fashion has played over the years. The Way We Wore: Black Style Then by Michael McCollom reminds me of skimming thru my parent’s photo albums; pictures of the stylish beginnings of a diverse group of African American tastemakers.
The snapshots come from within Michael McCollom’s own family and circle of friends who may include Oprah Winfrey, Naomi Campbell, Tyra Banks, Tracy Reese, Kimora Lee, Coco Mitchell and Iman, among others.
It’s a creative history book of black fashion.
