My pile!
This here fly girl is exhausted.
I literally just left the sample sale after getting to the Metropolitan Pavilion around noon. The lines were long and at one point, mother nature started to rain on my Jimmy Choo parade. By the time I got inside the Pavilion, I had played two games of Words With Friends and ate all my snacks, needless to say- I came prepared to wait.
The thing about sample sales is that you never know what to expect. You know the items will be discounted but will the discount be worth the hassle? Some ladies came out empty handed and one girl said the sale was “garbage.” By the time I got inside, I was a little weary but much to my delight there was tons of fly Choos.
The Deets to the Jimmy Choo 2012 Sample Sale:
Most of the items are “newly worn” meaning others have tried them on, some brought them and returned them or they sat in a stock room for a while. But the beauty about “newly worn” Jimmy Choos is that you are walking away with new Choos for $75 dollars. The majority of the shoes just looked like someone tired them on.
“New unworn” shoes go for $225 a piece and if you think the new shoe looks “newly worn” talk to an sale associate to see if they can mark them down for you.
Small leather goods go for $75 dollars and you can score yourself a cute card holder, key chain, iPad holder or wallet.
Bags start at $225 for a small bag, medium bags are $300 and large bags are $400. And if the bag is made out of exotic animal skin, add an additional $200 to each bag.
There were plenty of cute clutches, hobo bags and tons of Jimmy Choo for UGG and Hunter Boots for Jimmy Choo.
I walked away with a pair of neon and black sandals (found in the pic above) and a pair of suede pumps.
Tomorrow the sales starts at 9:00am and continues until 6:00pm.
Honestly, if you’re looking for a deal on a designer brand that sometimes can be out of your budget and you have free time tomorrow, head downtown. The last Jimmy Choo sample sale was in 2009 and today’s crowd shown that fashionistas missed grabbing discounted Choos and it was worth the wait.
Get there as early as possible, bring a snack, a friend and tons of patience.
